Arnell Ignacio Slams Historian Ambeth Ocampo for Saying Reclaim SocMed as Space for Truth
Veteran comedian turned public servant, Arnell Ignacio slams prominent author and well-known historian Ambeth Ocampo who urged his fellow academics to reclaim social media as space for truth.
Based on ABS-CBN News, historian and book author Ambeth Ocampo lamented that he never thought he would see the day when people question things that we hold true.
The statement released by Ocampo did not sit well among the supporters of Pres. Bongbong Marcos and former Pres. Rody Duterte, one of the most vocal critic in the latest statement of Ocampo is no other than Arnel Ignacio.
Arnell Ignacio was just reposting the Facebook post of Dr. Ethel Pineda, a physician specializing in Dermatology who chided Ambeth Ocampo for what he said during his interview with Christian Esguerra that raised the eyebrows of many netizens, especially those who belong to the groupd who don't subscribe to their brand of politics.

"Oyyyyy, things that are true hold up even when questioned. Why are you averse to it?
And take back social media? That's the woke response when people see through the falsehood. Grow up."
One of the critics of Ocampo is none other than Arnell Ignacio, who slammed the veteran historian, telling him the painful truth that he is no academic god.
The Deputy Admin of OWWA said that Ocampo isn't infallible after all. Ignacio also adviced Ocampo not to respond to dissent by brandishing his superiority as basis for his truth notwithstanding his research.
Arnell Ignacio also added that as a researcher and writer of history, Ambeth Ocampo should keep an open mind to the dictates of new information that surfaces.
