Sec. Erwin Tulfo Warns DSWD Employees, Suspension Awaits Arrogant Employees
Newly-appointed Secretary of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Erwin Tulfo warns all employees working under his department that suspension awaits all arrogant employees.
Sec. Erwin Tulfo warns DSWD employees not to show maltreatment among poor people who seeks help from the Department.
During his speech, Sec. Tulfo said that all employees should treat all people who will come to their agency should be treated humanely.
Once proven guilty, all arrogant DSWD employees who will be caught should suffer the consequences and will be suspended temporarily.
The DSWD Secretary said "Simula po ngayong araw, ayoko na pong makarinig ng tinarayan, sinigawan, o binastos ng empleyado natin ang mga lumalapit sa ating ahensya para humingi ng tulong. Suspensyon po ang katapat nito,” the DSWD Secretary said.
Secretary Erwin Tulfo added further that "Tratuhin po natin nang maayos at alagaan ang mga klyente o mga customer natin na mga ito," Tulfo added.
The former TV host and veteran journalist turned government officials, Secretary Erwin Tulfo believed that although Filipino people who came to their office are mostly poor people, they should be treated politely and DSWD workers should abide with the universal roles of fair treatment.
Secretary Tulfo noted "Dahil po ang mga mahihirap ‘yang mga lumalapit po sa atin ay mahihirap, mga single mom, matatanda, PWDs, may mga sakit, mga katutubo, mga batang palaboy o inabandona, ay mga kliyente at customer po ng ahensyang ito. ‘Di po natin sila puwedeng balewalain at bastusin na lang,” Secretary Tulfo explained.
